ABOUT ROOKIE
Hello dear reader,
The Rookie Developer blog is built on one simple belief: the only way to achieve greatness is to stay humble. When you think you know it all, you stop learning. When you admit there’s always more to discover, you open the door to growth. That’s why I chose the word rookie, it’s a reminder to keep the beginner’s mindset alive, no matter how much experience I gain. My journey is all about going from Rookie to Rock Star - step by step, lesson by lesson.
The idea for this blog began during my internship as a software engineer. One day, I spent hours troubleshooting and finally resolved a tricky technical issue. I was proud of myself and convinced I understood it fully. Six months later, a similar problem appeared… and I realized I remembered nothing of what I had done. Without practice, the skill had vanished. That moment changed my approach to learning. I began documenting my most challenging issues - not for others, but for myself - so I could retrace my steps when needed.
Over time, this turned into a habit, almost a hobby. My collection of notes grew, filled with solutions, ideas, and experiments from my daily work. By 2018, I had built such a library of knowledge that I thought, Why keep this to myself? If these notes could help me, maybe they could help others too. So I started publishing them publicly, and the Rookie Developer blog was born. For me, writing isn’t just about sharing knowledge, it’s a way of reinforcing it. Every post I publish is another step on the path from Rookie to Rock Star. And as long as I keep the rookie mindset, I know I’ll never stop growing.
